Driving along the bluff of Shades Mountain on South Shades Crest Road, it occurs to me that what Kendall wants to be when she grows up is a real estate tycoon. As we pass by homes designed for people in a higher income bracket than myself, she informs me of which ones she wants to buy. She says she likes "houses with gates, houses with fountains, and houses that look like banks."
